Dietary habits have inhibited sales of commercially prepared baby foods in Indonesia. With the exception of Jakarta, many Indonesians have a traditional diet, based on rice, fresh fruit, and vegetables, supplemented with meat, although, 80% of the population is Muslim, and do not eat pork or non-halal meat. Babies are often fed on a mixture of brown rice and water, which is regarded as highly nutritious, while industrially prepared alternatives are usually unavailable to mothers living in rural areas, which account for 45% of Indonesia's population. In 2017, the government announced that it would require all categories of food to complete halal certification before October 2019. In late 2017 a one-stop online system was introduced to facilitate the process.

Baby Food Market in Germany 2019 : Things to Know About Worldwide Industrial Growth

ResearchMoz presents professional and in-depth study of "The Baby Food Market in Germany, 2018".

"The Baby Food Market in Germany, 2018", is an analytical report by GlobalData which provides extensive and highly detailed current and future market trends in the German market.

German consumers are exceptionally loyal to their favorite baby food brands, and will frequently go to another shop (often a drugmarket) if their supermarket or hypermarket does not offer the brand they are looking for. This is increasingly the case for baby food, as the range of products and brands offered by food outlets has been shrinking, in line with lower birth numbers. The consequent stagnation in demand for many baby food products has ousted some baby food brands from supermarket shelves to make room for products with a higher turnover.

What else does this report offer?
- Consumption data based upon a unique combination of industry research, fieldwork, market sizing work and our in-house expertise to offer extensive data about the trends and dynamics affecting the industry.
- Detailed profile of the companies operating and new companies considering entry in the industry along with their key focus product sectors.
- Market profile of the various product sectors with the key features & developments, segmentation, per capita trends and the various manufacturers & brands.
- Overview of baby food retailing with a mention of the major retailers in the country along with the distribution channel.
- Future projections considering various trends which are likely to affect the industry.

Scope

- German mothers preference to breastfeed their babies means that the market for baby milk has always favored follow-on formulae, rather than starter formulae.
- Liquid milks have so far failed to gain a significant foothold in Germany. Organic milks have continued to become more popular over the last few years.
- The vast majority of the cereals category consists of cereals with milk, many of them Griess (semolina), with the remainder made up of cereals without milk and a few gruels/flakes.
- The wet meals category is becoming increasingly segmented, with manufacturers developing new packaging formats. Sales of pouches have grown rapidly over the last six years or so, although the segment now appears to have peaked.

Baby Food Sector in Singapore by Players, Regions, Product Types & Applications 2018

ResearchMoz presents professional and in-depth study of "The Baby Food Sector in Singapore, 2018".

"The Baby Food Sector in Singapore, 2018", is an analytical report by GlobalData which provides extensive and highly detailed current and future market trends in the Singapore market.

Get PDF for more Professional and Technical insights @ https://www.researchmoz.us/enquiry.php?type=S&repid=1978292

The development of the baby food sector in Singapore goes beyond the realms of disposable income and is more often dependent on attitudes to industrially prepared foods in general, the desire for convenient alternatives, and the employment status of women. Baby food manufacturers have come to benefit, particularly in the meals category as despite a preference by mothers to feed home-cooked meals to their babies, they increasingly find little time to prepare them. However, demand for sweet meals has been held back as many mothers prefer to mash fresh fruit instead, as a healthier option. Another factor that has affected the consumption of baby foods is the significant number of expatriates in Singapore, who demand more sophisticated or 'western' products for their babies.

Scope

- The general trend of baby milk had been away from infant formulae and follow-on milks and towards growing-up milks and specialist milks. The packaging of baby milk can be found in can, boxes and plastic bottles.
- All cereals marketed are dry products requiring reconstitution with either milk or water. The most popular base for cereals tends to be rice, although wheat and oatmeal are also available. Organic products are now beginning to make their mark in the cereals sector
- The finger foods sector comprises an increasingly broad range of products. Traditional teething rusks are losing ground, as a greater variety of more modern snacks aimed at toddlers become available.
- Supermarkets and hypermarkets are the most important distribution outlets for baby food products, in line with their increasing influence in food retailing in general.

Reasons to buy

- Evaluate important changes in consumer behavior and identify profitable markets and areas for product innovation.
- Analyse current and forecast behavior trends in each category to identify the best opportunities to exploit.

Baby Food Market Size in Philippines Industry : Trends, Analysis, Growth and Status 2017

ResearchMoz presents professional and in-depth study of "The Baby Food Market in Philippines 2017".

"The Baby Food Market in Philippines 2017" is an analytical report by GlobalData which provides extensive and highly detailed current and future market trends in the Philippines market.

The Philippines baby food market declined between 2010 and 2016, with development constrained by increased breastfeeding and low incomes, depressing per capita consumption, and this was compounded by the decline in the number of births. Although value sales rose in current terms, this was equivalent to a 10% fall at constant prices. Cereals performed best, followed by meals and other baby food, although milks are by far the largest sector. Demand for other baby foods is confined to a small proportion of the middle class. Multinationals dominate: in 2016, Nestl/Wyeth and Mead Johnson together accounted for over 80% of value. The baby food market is forecast to grow, fueled by a rise in the number of babies, and by increased per capita consumption. Consumption will increase with milks remaining by far the dominant sector, despite showing the slowest growth. The very under-developed meals and others sectors will show the strongest growth.

Scope

- In Philippines baby food market, value sales are down by 9.8% and the value of the market has risen by 7.1% in current terms between 2010 and 2016, which is equivalent to a 10.4% fall at constant 2010 prices.
- Milks are by far the largest sector, accounting for 83.8% of value sales in 2016, and baby meals is the fastest-growing baby food category in value terms, but still represents less than 5% of the market.
- In 2016, Nestl (including Wyeth) and Mead Johnson together accounted for 81% of value sales, as a result of their strength in the dominant milks sector.
- The Philippines has a well-developed infant formula industry, but most other products are imported.
- Supermarkets dominate all sectors, but pharmacies and small-scale grocery outlets continue to play a role, especially in the milks sector.
- The baby food market is forecast to grow by 22.5% between 2016 and 2022, as this is be fuelled by the gently growing number of babies, and by an increase in per capita consumption, due to higher living standards and disposable income.

Overview of Baby Food Market in the US Industry : Share, Trends, Insight and Application 2017

ResearchMoz presents professional and in-depth study of "The Baby Food Market in the US 2017".

"The Baby Food Market in the US 2017", is an analytical report by GlobalData which provides extensive and highly detailed current and future market trends in the US market.

Many parents have put off raising children, and the number of births has fallen unremittingly to million in 2016. Growing demand for organic and non-GMO indicates that parents with sufficient income are prepared to spend it on food perceived as more beneficial for their babies. Consumption has fallen partly as a result of a lower number of births, and, in the case of baby milks, partly due to higher levels of breastfeeding. The infant formula market is distorted by the Federal WIC program. Growth in newer segments - particularly pouches, snacks and toddler milks - has prevented even more serious declines. Forecasts for the US economy are currently relatively positive. Coupled with the forecast increase in births from 2018 onwards, this is likely to lead to a more buoyant market.

Scope

- Living standards in the US are among the highest in the world. However, many parents have put off raising children, and the number of births fell unremittingly to million in 2016.
- In 2016, sales of baby food amounted to tons, 16% less than in 2010. Consumption has fallen partly as a result of a lower number of births, and, in the case of baby milks, partly due to higher levels of breastfeeding.
- Milks account for almost three-quarters of the value of retail sales and wet meals for 22%. The share of milks has declined over the last six years. Wet meals on the other hand have taken a larger share of spending, rising to 22.1% in 2016, compared with 16.9% in 2010.
- The country is a major exporter, especially of milks and cereals, with volumes reaching tons in 2015, while a further tons of other baby foods is exported.
- Supermarkets dominate sales of baby food, accounting for some two-thirds of infant formula sales and 60% of other baby food.

Research of Baby Food Market in Sweden Industry : Share, Trends and Application 2017

ResearchMoz presents professional and in-depth study of "The Baby Food Market in Sweden 2017".

"The Baby Food Market in Sweden 2017", is an analytical report by GlobalData which provides extensive and highly detailed current and future market trends in the Swedish market.

Sweden baby food market has continued to be more buoyant than most European markets - a result of the upward trend in the number of births, as well as a relatively favorable economic climate, demand for premium products, and high levels of female employment. Unusually, cereals and wet meals account for the vast majority of sales in Sweden. Milks account for only 14.5% of total value. The popularity of vlling, a traditional, milk-based gruel, alongside high levels of breastfeeding, has held back the development of the infant formula sector. Rise in baby food consumption, is anticipated largely as a result of the increasing number of live births and strong growth in milks, and to a slightly lesser extent in meals. Per capita consumption will increase only marginally.

Scope

- Up to 2010 the number of live births increased annually, although 2011 saw a sharp drop of 3.3%. However, since then, the numbers have once again begun to climb, with a particularly strong increase in 2016.
- The baby food market has continued to be more buoyant than most European markets. Since 2010 sales have risen by 23.4% in 2016.
- Unusually, cereals and wet meals account for the vast majority of sales in Sweden, taking 85% of retail value and 92% of market volume. Milks account for only 14.5% of value and 7.2% of volume sales.
- Sweden produces a significant proportion of its own baby food with Hero having a plant in Gtene. Exports have risen significantly in terms of volume since 2012 and in 2015 stood at tons, worth million.
- The market is effectively a duopoly shared by Semper (Hero) and Nestl Sverige. Both companies are long-established in what is itself the longest-established commercial baby food market in the world.
- Baby food is a mainstream grocery market, with only specialized baby milks and a limited number of other products being sold exclusively through pharmacies. Within the grocery sector, larger chains have been increasing their share of sales.
- Baby food consumption is anticipated to rise by 15.5% between 2016 and 2022. Growth will be largely as a result of the increasing number of live births predicted by the Swedish Statistical Office and strong growth in milks, and to a slightly lesser extent in meals.
